The Seventh-day Adventist Church in Tula commemorated its 100th anniversary on January 25, 2025, with a service attended by church leaders, local officials, representatives of other Protestant denominations, and former pastors who served the congregation.

Members from various Tula Adventist communities, including those from the hearing-impaired congregation, gathered to celebrate the milestone with gifts and messages of appreciation.

The event highlighted the church’s history, featuring archival photographs and testimonies from members and pastors who have witnessed its growth over the decades. Attendees reflected on how the congregation evolved from a small wooden house of worship into a well-established church serving the local community.

Music played a central role in the service, with performances from a combined choir representing multiple Adventist congregations in Tula, as well as a youth choir.

Following the service, anniversary events continued with a gathering where former pastors and long-standing church members shared personal memories of the church’s development and its impact on the community.

The Role of the Euro-Asia Division

The Tula congregation is part of the Seventh-day Adventist Church’s Euro-Asia Division (ESD), which oversees Adventist mission work across Russia, Belarus, and several other countries in the region. The division plays a significant role in supporting local congregations through pastoral training, evangelism, and humanitarian outreach.

Despite various social and political challenges, the Adventist Church in the ESD continues to grow, focusing on community engagement and spiritual development. Church leaders have emphasized the importance of education, health ministries, and youth outreach as key components of their mission.

The Seventh-day Adventist Church, which was officially established in Russia in the late 19th century, now has thousands of members across the ESD. Leaders expressed their hope that the next century will bring continued growth and service to the communities they serve.
